Robina Town Centre is protecting local waterways and beaches through a partnership with Ocean Protect.

Ocean Protect is dedicated to reducing the amount of pollution and waste that ends up in our waterways and oceans through the development of storm water treatment assets, which stop pollution at its source.

Robina Town Centre’s proactive approach to stop the flow of pollution has seen it partner with Ocean Protect to install ‘Ocean Guards’ in all 5 of the Centre’s carparks.

Ocean Guards trap rubbish and other pollutants including sediment. Since their instalment at Robina Town Centre in October 2018 to December 2020, over 36 tonnes of waste have been diverted from local waterways.

Robina Town Centre’s storm water system drains into the nearby Mudgeeraba Creek, which flows on to lakes, canals, and the ocean.
